PIZZA DELIGHT, located at Englehart, ON P0J 1H0. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Server – food and beverage services. Job Description

  • The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers’ cheques, or room billings.
  • The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
  • The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
  • The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
  • The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
  • The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • The candidate must train staff.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a Smart Serve Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

  • The candidate must work in cold/refrigerated and hot environments.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odors.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

  • The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
  • The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
